Last week we had Baby Boy’s baby blessing. It’s where we officially give our children a name, and then a blessing. It’s always a wonderful day for our family when a baby is blessed.
It’s often done at church but we usually do it at a family members house because of so many conflicting schedules. We invited all our local family to come participate and join us! It’s so nice to have so many so close and have my parents come into town! We appreciate everyone coming and being a part of our special day!
I think this is our first family picture since Baby Boy was born (well we had professional ones taken, but don’t have copies of those yet!). Our family of seven! Afterwards we had a family dinner, and sat around and chatted, it was a wonderful evening. We even got to play some board games with cousins late in the evening!
Baby boy with my parents! We’ll be taking nice pictures of his outfit (my mom made it) tomorrow! I’ll show them off soon! I can’t believe how big he already is. At his 8 week appt this week he was 11 1/2 lbs! SO big and so sweet, we just love love LOVE our little happy boy.

It looks like a lovely event. We are planning our baby blessing for 12/18 for our latest, Emma, who is now 3 months old. We had scheduled it for right after Thanksgiving, but all of our family got so sick (even me) so we moved it. We always do it at my in-laws house due to extended family size, but it gives everyone a good excuse for family dinner afterwards, doesn’t it?

It was great, but a blessing always is isn’t it! We’ve never lived by so much family before but we’ve tended to travel home for blessings so at least the grandparents can always participate! Have a wonderful day and blessing!
