So the official word… It’s broken, in three places! Arrrgghhhh!!!! I got to see the xray, the Radius and Ulna are the bones that are broken, right at the wrist. The Dr. said that if I HAD to have a broken wrist that this was the break to have! It should heal well and quickly. I’ll be in a cast for 6 weeks and then a brace for another 2.

So as we were talking I mentioned to the Dr. that I have this summer pass to Lagoon to keep the kids occupied, and wondered about what I could still do. Instead of using the traditional cotton underneath the cast he used this new material. It’s made of plastic, but it’s soft. They wrapped that around my arm to create the padding then added the hard cast! It’s great! I can shower, swim, anything! If for some reason I don’t feel it’s drying well I can use a hairdryer on cool to dry it out.
Note, they asked what color I wanted, white, pink, blue, black, etc… I wish they had a denim version! Wouldn’t that be cool? But black works great for my purposes too. Matches everything.

So far it’s still black. BUT if a way emerges that I am able to get tickets and attend BlogHer 10 I think I’d get some special pen’s for all my fellow bloggers to decorate it for me while there. If any of you hear of tickets or sponsorship that comes up in these last weeks before the event please let me know!

I was wondering how your wrist was doing. Probably feels MUCH better with the cast on. Surprised you went with black. You seem more like a hot pink or purple girl to me!

I love red best but the red they had was a bit too BRIGHT red! I like my red’s darker. And black is my second favorite color. This way it will match everything. I was thinking about a color, but then for the next 6 weeks I’d have to be careful about what I wore.

I KNOW! Crazy, right? So frustrating! I even got some orders at my store! Which I’m grateful for, but now have to somehow make them with this wrist issue! Let alone the packing, remodeling, etc…

I asked for a brown brace, just so I could Sharpie leopard print all over it! It totally goes with everything.

Awesome!!! I never thought about something like that! So fun! If you have to break something you might as well have a fun cast!
