I’m excited to introduce my friend Adrian from Adrian’s Crazy Life. I meet her the first day of my first bloggers conference! She and I have had been able to meet up semi often (as often as our crazy mom lives allow) and even road-tripped it to Bloggy Boot Camp in St. George last year.
Here are some quick and easy digital pages of mine. I usually do my own pages from scratch now, but these are some of the first ones I started with from the pre-made templates that come w/the My Digital Studio (MDS) program.
I thought I would take a minute to answer a few questions about our digital scrapbooking software
Mac or PC? Both
(Here is one of my from-scratch pages – took me about 10 minutes)
Is it compatible with other software? Yes. The stamp sets, designer paper, embellishments, and designer kits can all be used with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and most of the other popular programs used for digital scrapbooking.
This is another template page. All I had to do was pop in a pic & a title and voila, a great page to remember our beloved dog.
What comes in the program? A ton of stuff.
- 20 complete stamp sets
- all our coordinating colors in cardstock, ribbons, and embellishment
- dozens of patterned papers & all our punches
- enough pre-made templates to fill several whole scrapbooks, make cards, calendars, and journals
- the software to pull it all together
Printing options? SU has a printing service with very competitive pricing, you can print on your own printer, or send to any photo place for printing.
Inspired by a page I found on the SU website. It’s easy to change up your pics like this to get cool effects.
How easy is the program to use? Compared to a program like Photoshop, My Digital Studio is SO much easier to use. With MDS, I was up and running in about 20 minutes. Can’t do that w/Photoshop!
I like traditional scrapbooking – why switch?
- Everything can be done in any color or any size you want. Traditional, I never had the right size or number of embellishments or pics.
- It has an UNDO button. “nuff said!
- It’s portable! I never have to haul 50 lbs of “stuff” to a crop again to find I forgot the one thing I needed. I’ve even digi-scrapped in the car.

OK, how much is it? The basic program is $79.99, but if you purchase it during our Sale-a-bration sale (Ends in March), you’ll be able to get an extra CD that includes all of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets and images or your choice of several different stamp sets.

I never thought I would enjoy digital scrapping because I’m a “hands on” girl, but once I got the hang of it I was hooked. So much faster and easier!

I’ve never had the patience for “real” scrap-booking, the supplies, getting them all out, putting them away… GAH. Digital has been my drug of choice (the few times I actually scrapped book!)
