Update: So many peopled asked for a tutorial I made one, check it out!

I love my dremel. My husband got it for me for Christmas a few years ago. I had actually never considered it as a tool for my wish list, but it’s been really fun! Every once in a while I like to play around with a different option, or use. This time I decided to try etching glass with it. It was really fun! I decided to use my two favorite flowers as my template. Cherry Blossoms and Calla Lillies. I think they turned out really well! I used a diamond point bit set to create these. And the possibilities are endless! Holiday themes, birthday themes, wedding themes, etc…!

See the Parties I link up to on my sidebar –>

Aw this is cute! I just started doing glass etching with the glass etch stuff and I live it! If you have time come link up on Tuesday to Handmade Tuesdays @ http://www.ladybug-blessings.com

I’ll come over and link it up! I have used the etching cream as well as the frosted spray paint and I like all three ways for etching. They each have a different effect so really it depends on the project your working on what you might want to try.

Very cool. I love the cherry blossoms. Was it challenging to do? It looks like you need a steady hand to work with something so small.

I do too! After living in Japan Cherry Blossoms will always be special to me! It actually wasn’t too bad. Next time I make one I’ll show you how I did it! But I picked a design that would be okay if it went off a bit, the tree.

I’ll try to get that up soon! It’s really not hard at all, and you can pick up some cheap glass at DI to practice on.
