Photo clock

A few months ago, back when I first started the craft side of my blog, I enjoyed trolling around and searching for inspiration and great idea. Well I still do that, but this inspiration came from that time period. I save all the inspirations I get from the internet into a folder on my browser. So ANYWAY… I saw this clock here and put it in the back of my mind to look for an old clock. I found one!

Pretty nasty, huh? I actually already took off the hands and spray painted them when I remembered to take this pictures.  I actually found this a few months ago and put it in my future craft box just waiting for when I finally got around to putting a photo collage together.  When I ordered the invitations printed at Costco it made sense to finally do the collage and order that too.

So I printed of a 12 by 12 inch pictures in black and white.  Then I cut a hole in the middle to fit over the hardware.

I spread out a layer of mod podge all over the place…

and layed down the picture, squishing out all the bubbles.

flipping over the clock I cut the excess photo off of the clock.

Then I decided rather than have a glossy photo finished I wanted a more matte painted look and mod podged over the top as well.  I’m glad I did.  I’m really happy with the way it looks!  So what do you think!  Now if only I could get it to tell time!  I tested it to make sure it worked before I did this project, it did work, so I moved on.  What I didn’t realized is that it works, but not on time, it’s moving slower than it should.  So anyone know how to fix a slow clock?
