Today I get to feature the last of our Pinhead’s this month! Kara at Happy Go Lucky! The crazy thing is as I write this she’s over in Virginia Beach waiting for the hurricane to hit this weekend, so send lots of positive thoughts her way. Hurricanes are pretty darn exciting as long as nothing bad happens in the end.
Having survived Hurricane Ike in Houston (on my 30th birthday no less) and dealing with a crushed roof (missed the car by INCHES), water damage (that turned into Toxic mold) and no power I can totally relate to what she’s going through. The worst part for me was I was ALSO in the middle of an 8 week long sinus infection and my latest antibiotic gave me an allergic reaction. Thanks to HEB for staying open to the bitter end so I was able to get a new prescription JUST before the storm hit (they were also the first ones back open, an AMAZING grocery store)
The picture on the left is the grocery store the day of the storm- EMPTY, and the one on the right is the morning after, with the tree embedded in our roof! Fun times… So glad we had a gas stove, even with the power out I could still cook, AND my cell worked! Amazing! So wish Kara luck and send her dry wishes with not too long of a power outage afterwards!
BACK to Kara! Check out all the things she’s made, in less than a YEAR of blogging. Incredible! She has some great ideas, crafts, review, DIY, stuff for kids, review, etc…
How smart is this Wheel of fun? For when her little guy says he’s bored, he can spin the wheel and they’ll do whatever it lands on! I SOOO needed this for our summer, I can’t tell you how many times I heard “there’s nothing to do” from my kiddo’s! I think we’ll have this next summer and spin it every morning!
Then this GORGEOUS homemade bath scrub favor for a baby shower! So pretty, and who doesn’t love bath scrub? I love the sweet printable for the top as well!
Subway art was HUGE last year, and something I didn’t see anywhere else is personalized subway art ornaments! One for each family member! So cute. I make ornaments for each family member every year, so this is going in my inspiration folder for ornaments!
And this I Spy jar! Who doesn’t love a fun I Spy game, and the jar is a fun twist. Perfect for little hands that like holding on to big things! Just like her 2 year old! SOOO cute!

Thanks for all your support as I prepare for the hurricane and thanks for the sweet post. It’s been so much fun working together for The Great Pinterest Challenge. I’m amazed at how talented and creative you are so I love that we get to inspire each other:)
