What’s that phrase? Day late dollar short? I’ve never understood that phrase. But either way, I’m late (as well as short on cash… hmm). But I was able to get into town today (no snow last night, YEAH!) and FINALLY go through all the many links from last weeks Topsy Turvy Tuesday! Remember this week’s is still open so come share what your doing with me so I can feel better about not having anything I can do myself right now! (they are putting in the kitchen cabinet’s RIGHT NOW though so a few more week’s and I’ll get to move back home!)
Young and Crafty had her Father in Law make her some of these AMAZING Pottery Barn inspired Bookshelves! I think I could make these! But where would I put them? Really, it turned out GREAT! She says it took a ton of measuring, but it was worth it! What a great piece! The more I look at it the more I want to make one myself (in black perhaps!)
Check out this great bench that Red Hen Home made from a garage sale find! I love that she just created a plank to put right on top of the broken seat. The fabric and padding look terrific, and what a great way to add the buttons easily! And of course I LOVE the distressed black paint!
My recipe book is overflowing. I have to expand to a larger binder. So when I saw this embroidered canvas binder cover from Flamingo Toes! Isn’t it SO cute! I love the real flattened spoon on the cover as well! SO cute! I haven’t done embroidery in YEARS, but I might have to consider trying it out again!
Now I don’t know about you guys but I love cilantro. BUT I don’t use it too often. But I do use Coriander a LOT! I had NO idea that Coriander seeds CAME from cilantro! Did you? At My Frugal Lifestyle she shares how to harvest your cilantro. I think I’ll have to add it to my garden next year!
I love fall, really really LOVE fall! (Maybe because it’s my birthday in just 19 days!) So when I saw this first of MANY fall crafts I just had to share it. It doesn’t hurt that it’s totally cute and doable too! At Decor Chick she shares how she made this beautiful fall topiary!
