Topsy Turvy Tuesdays

GAH!!! I made some silly changes to my flickr account while I was sick and stupid… now none of my buttons are working! And they won’t again, you’ll have to get NEW buttons from below! I am so sorry for being such a dork!

We spent our weekend sick! Which while the sick part (and the messy house part) wasn’t fun, the sitting around playing wii, watching movies and enjoying NOT being out in the snow was a ball. I got some fun new crochet projects done and started a new knit project that’s going to take QUITE some time. Last week I posted Computer boy’s blue Chevron Ombre birthday cake, and this week my recipe for cheesy potatoes (aka funeral potatoes) along with the rest of his birthday dinner (and fun chevron ombre labels!)

blue-chevron-ombre-birthday-cake blue-chevron-ombre-birthday-cheesy-potatoes large-red-ruffled-tulle-headband-homemade you-are-special-birthday-plate baby-birth-announcement-book-cover

I also posted my tutorial for my over-sized ruffled headband and my Friday Flashback was this “you are special” birthday plate I made years ago. And finally Baby Boy’s birth announcements! I had SO much fun making these, it was worth the time it took to design and put together. Probably my favorite announcements yet (next Friday Flashback I really should share the Destroying Angels announcements, I loved those too!)

This week’s features!

metallic-three-panel-art

This metallic three panel art piece is GORGEOUS!!!! I wish I’d got thicker like this with my backlit art. I love the ombre gold metallic colors. I think I might need this (but maybe in silver)

laminated-messenger-bag

I am desperately in need of a diaper bag… It’s getting pretty rough around here now that the diapers and spare clothes are getting bigger. I LOVE this laminated messenger bag tutorial. It’s exactly what I need. Now to just find the right laminated fabric for me!

ruffled-ribbon-pillow

I did a ton of pillow refashions last year, and I think this ruffled ribbon pillow would fit right in!!! SO lovely!

chocolate-peanut-butter-toffee-bars

Have I mentioned how much chocolate I’ve been eating lately? I don’t crave chocolate when I pregnant with boys, so I didn’t eat much last year, but it feels like the last 3 months since baby Boy was born I’ve been making up for the 9 months without! These chocolate peanut butter toffee bars sound fantastic!

chocolate-coconut-bars

Along with loads of chocolate and peanut butter my other favorite things with chocolate are coconut, pecans and caramel. So these chocolate coconut bars are also going on my list to make! Mmmm (yes there is a reason I don’t lose much weight until AFTER I finish nursing!)

Don’t forget to take a button if you were featured (I did something pretty stupid and made some silly changes to my flickr account so now old buttons aren’t working! Feel free to grab another one!)
